"SECOND CHANCES"

This is an incredibly beautiful poem that the one and only love of my life Louis wrote especially for me this past Valentine's Day. It's appropriately entitled 'SECOND CHANCES'.It was his first attempt at writing poetry, but he's said that 'the words just came to him so easily'. I was so deeply touched by it and now with his permission I want very much to share it here with all of you.

'SECOND CHANCES'

Shuffling along through an ordinary life

Full of uncertainty and occasional strife

Never imagining any other way

Of living my life except day to day

I spent my days often full of rage

Feeling as if I were trapped in a cage

No way out and nowhere to turn

For the slightest of changes I would constantly yearn

Then one day I met a new friend

Someone to chat with at every days' end

She brightened my day and she made me smile

Something I hadn't done in quite a while

Every night we would meet online

To share our day and spend some time

I looked forward to talking every single night

But deep down inside I just didn't feel right

How could I feel what I knew I was feeling

The thought of it just left my senses reeling

Wishing at times it would all disappear

But then again that was my greatest fear

This woman had touched me in so many ways

That I knew in my heart she could not go away

She came into my life like a gift from above

Asked me for nothing and offered true love

Never before had I been so torn

Feeling so guilty yet at the same time reborn

A chance at happiness was here at last

A chance to escape my unbearable past

This would be one of my most difficult fights

Guilt ridden days and long sleepless nights

When weighing my options my heart would just pound

The answers I searched for just couldn't be found

I finally decided to stand up and face it

Like many a dream I simply had to chase it

My old life was offering me nothing more

Some harsh bitter words had opened the door

I walked out of my home after all those years

And for the next day or two I cried so many tears

Questioning myself and the choice I had made

Was it all worth the price that would have to be paid?

As time passed I became more convinced of my choice

I could finally speak with my very own voice

Living for myself was something I'd come to know

And my love for this woman continued to grow

She took me away from an angry wife

And showed me a new and beautiful life

Filled with compassion, no price to pay

I had never imagined it could be this way

So much of this story now lies in the past

The changes have come so incredibly fast

This wonderful woman has brightened my life

And I can't wait for the day I can call her my wife

"MS WoRdZ of WiZdOm"

I'd been thinking about a catchy title to my blog for quite awhile. The name had to be something that would have me taken seriously as a writer and yet at the same time speak volumes without me even uttering a single word. At last, 'MS WoRdZ' was born!

I became really excited at the prospect of making this site my very own, from its content and colour scheme to its accent pictures and quotes. I've devoted so much time into nurturing it, watching it slowly grow and envisioning its bright future. It has become my second home (aside from 'The Crimson Diary') and allows me the opportunity to showcase my writing and freely discuss things that are important to people and what affects them in life and in everyday society.

I aspire to make both sites (although very different from one another) to be open and interactive places where people can openly express their inner most thoughts, feelings and ideas. I encourage people to get involved and post their opinions on anything from interests, to what concerns you, to what gets under your skin.

There is an endless array of topics to really sink your teeth into and I just know that everyone is passionate about something or other in life so please don't hold back and let the world know what's on your mind. Oh and don't forget to check out 'The Daily Grind' while you’re there.

"THE DECADENT DIVA"

Let's start out with something really easy shall we. This first recipe is one that's been in my family for years and is appropriately called (after the special loving lady that taught it to me) my 'Mother Rosa's Easy Bake Cake'. It's fast, simple and oh so good!

"MOTHER ROSA'S EASY BAKE CAKE"

Ingredients:
7 eggs (use jumbo size eggs only)
7 oz. of Crisco oil
13 oz. of sugar
12 oz. flour
4 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. vanilla
4 oz. whisky (no other substitutes)

Directions: Beat eggs thoroughly then add oil, sugar, baking powder, vanilla and whisky together. Then add flour and stir thoroughly.


*Preheat oven at 350F (or 400F depending if oven isn't hot enough at 350F)

"WELCOME TO THE CRIMSON DIARY"

An idea came to me while I was washing my hair one day if you can believe it. A flurry of ideas began spinning around in my head (whilst I was waiting for the leave in conditioner to do its thing) prompting me to create a whole other site.Thus, "The Crimson Diary" was born.

The concept is to create an inventive new way to try to uncover the mysteries of love while attempting to dispel the myths behind the whole 'men are from Mars, women are from Venus' thing. Can I be successful you ask? That remains to be seen, but it'll sure is fun trying.
